I expect that with the extra preparation time Grey Swallow will prevail on this occasion. I also expect him to go on to great things as the season progresses.
I believe our 1,000 Guineas heroine Attraction will win the Irish equivalent on Sunday. People were lining up to knock her performance when winning at Newmarket but she is 6 out of 6 and hopefully this is one magnificent seven we won't mind seeing. Many of her opponents were behind her at Newmarket and I never like to back a horse on the strength of an excuse so I fully expect Attraction to win.
The domestic fare is not too bad on Saturday when I'll be at Haydock Park hoping that Maktavish continues his excellent form of this season in the 1.30. Ian Semple has done really well with him this year and I hope he can win again.
