Rangers face an uphill task however - with the first
leg having ended 1-1.

Smith observed:

"We will certainly need to improve from last Thursday
- I was dissappointed at that performance. We will
need to perform very well.

"The win over Celtic won´t do us any harm, but Spain
is never an easy place to come to.

"Osasuna are a good team. They have home advantage and
are difficult to play against. I watched their game on
Sunday against Valencia - they played very well. They
must be the favourites to go through."

Meanwhile Osasuna Coach Jose Angel Ziganda put the
game into context:

"This is an important match for us, a big football
night. We want to win, not simply play for a goalless
draw. We want to play at a high tempo. We need to play
as well as we did in Glasgow. We need to concentrate
100%.

"Rangers surprised us with their win over Celtic -
Celtic played very well in Milan.

"The atmosphere will help us."
