The Shire Trust

The trust was mainly formed to counter what the supporters perceived as the mishandling of the club by controversial chairman Alan Mackin. We hold him responsible for our last 5 disastrous seasons of finishing bottom of the league and a possible asset strip of a majority of the value of our ground, Firs Park.

However we are hopeful that a deal to transfer shares to new director and investor Spencer Fearn will happen soon and a return to simply being a `normal` football club again is our sincerest wish.

shiretrust runs the club shop, handles catering at Firs Park on matchdays, bought a new mower for the pitch, bought an Ultrasound Machine to quicken healing in injured players muscles, contributed to pitch repairs and the transfer fee of a new player at the start of the season. shiretrust raises funds throughout the year but always donates to a local charity around the turn of the year - this time we are donating £100 to CHAS (Children`s Hospice association Scotland).
