Some of the disgraceful tackles from today's game.

Last updated : 24 October 2010 By Gatsby.

We got as far as the second minute before Stokes committed what would be the worst tackle of the game.

We then had Ki on Naismith which rightly brought a yellow.

Followed by Samaras introducing his knee to McGregor's head.  You may recall Allan was banned by the SFA for a fresh-air swipe. It will be interesting to see if the governing body can find a working DVD copy of this match.

The Greek then kicked Naismith, with no intention of even competing for the ball to earn a caution.

But wait: hadn't Samaras already felled Bougherra with a bad one in the first half which went unpunished?

Today's talking-points may focus on McCulloch, or perhaps the penalty.

Be sure to point out the following:

1.Stokes should have been sent off, allowing Rangers a man advantage. This was Collum's major mistake. Had nothing else of note happened this would have afforded Rangers a man advantage for almost 88 minutes.

2. McCulloch's caution was for a foul where he got the ball and followed through. It was as 'bad', arguably not so, as either Samaras' tackle on Boogie or the foul by Juarez in the second half, neither of which met with a yellow. If his second foul was something that could have seen him walk, then consider that Samaras must also have been ordered off in the second half, and Celtic would never have had a man advantage (see Stokes).

3. Glen Loovens twice in quick succession raised his hands - to Lafferty and then Miller - in full view of the referee and was not even booked.

These are the obvious examples.  Cullum had a hard time, but made errors and errors which went against Rangers.

Thankfully the team managed to negate the impact of these honest mistakes and crushed the opposition.
