Saturday's visit to Hamilton

Our away record (well documented on FF) is not good enough to make best odds of 1/2 (tote, BlueSq, 888 and coral) attractive. The draw is available at 10/3 (paddypower and Skybet) and Hamilton can be snapped up at 8/1 with Skybet.

So once again, it's a look at the other markets.

I particularly fancy the Draw HT - Rangers FT which is available at 10/3 with bet365, tote, Coral and Hill. On that note, the 11/8 at bet365 for it to be a draw at HT is not bad either.

First Goalscorer is quite an open market, Boyd naturally is favourite at 10/3 (tote) but you may fancy a punt on Miller (9/2 with BetFred), Fleck (13/2 also with BetFred) or Mendes at 14/1 with Hills. One to note is Deuchar (who scored a few against us last season with Gretna) is 11/1 with Bet365.

Because it's live on the tele, expect a few weird looking bets. Check the rules first, some are not quite what they may seem.

One other point is blind betting, ie betting on a team no matter the price, no matter the opposition. I've pulled some stats for the SPL this season. My gut feeling was avoid the big two, and so far this season if you'd put £10 on Rangers every SPL game, you'd be down £5.70. With Celtc you'd be down £8.40. The most profitable are Hamilton, where you'd show a £88.50 profit from a stake of £260. If you ever fancy doing that, you need to pick your team right.

Whatever you do, be lucky, have fun, and spend your winnings wisely (like in a pub)
