The Juvenile hurdle at 2.00 sees Lough Derg, King Revo and Howle Hill attempt to enhance their reputations on route to the Triumph Hurdle. I like the way Lough Derg won last time and hope he comes out on top.

The Cleeve hurdle at 2.35 should lie between Flame Creek and Crystal D'anay with Redemption capable of a big run at a decent price and old favourite The French Furze also in the line up. I think Flame Creek has the best form, is improving and should win.

Probably the most interesting race on the card is the Pillar chase at 3.05 which sees some Gold Cup hopefuls in the last recognised trial. Included here are Jair Du Cochet trying to atone for a shocker in the King George, Valley Henry, Trucker's Tavern and talking horse Therealbandit. I don't believe the hype at the moment so I'll be hoping Jair Du Cochet comes back to his best to win.

The 3.35 sees Hand Inn Hand attempt to win after his jumping cost him dear at Kempton recently. He has the engine required to win this but you have to take his juping and confidence on trust.

Elsewhere, Haydock has some decent racing and if Redemption is re-routed here for the handicap hurdle at 2.25 he would be my idea of the day's best bet. He might have most to fear from Freetown.
