It's nearly ten years since Gennaro Ivan Gattuso left Ibrox to return to Italy - despite being loved by the fans Dick Advocaat decreed his time was up.
However, despite the slings and arrows aimed at him by many in the Scottish media the wee man has made them eat their words and has gone on to captain both AC Milan and Italy. There are few instances when telling the media “we told you” has been so pleasurable.
He returns later this month for a Champions League game - sadly against Timmy rather than us - so we're going to raise some cash for the Trust and have an enjoyable night with fellow Bluenoses - and hopefully savour a Milan victory! - while paying tribute to the wee man.
The Wee Rangers Club will provide an excellent venue and amongst the attractions will be a half-time nosh-up of Bovril and Lasagne! A prize will be awarded for the best Rino look-a-like.
