"It would fill my heart with gladness, it would fill my heart with cheer, if we only had The Rangers over here."

Murray resigning
Beating Hamilton 4-1
Champions League draw
Rothen signing
Aaron leaving
Boyd maybe going to Turkey
CIS Cup draw

Just a few of the things involving our Club I missed in the two weeks away from these shores on holiday, and at times, I was climbing the wall. It got me thinking, "How on Earth do the foreign-based supporters do this day in, day out?"

OK, so the internet age has definately made the world smaller, but how many folk can afford to spend huge swathes of their day online?

There's always the BBC world service I suppose, but when the Champions League draw was being made, I got information on all the 'British' teams that were taking part in this years competition, save one. Any guesses which one?

Yup, it seems that ignoring all things Rangers isn't confined to BBC Scotland.

I only found out about Murray bailing out in a text message from MummyDee, such was the in-depth sports reporting from BBC World service.

Now, it's no secret that the Rangers support touches all four corners of the globe, and all points inbetween, and how many of them keep the flame burning when information can be scarce at times is truly a testament to what this Club of ours can do with the emotions.

I think it's fair to say that the home based support forget just how huge our foreign support is at times, and it's only when you've been a part of it for a short period of time that you find out just how hard it can be to garner even the smallest tidbit of up to date info regarding Rangers.

I only had to put up with having less than minimal info regarding Rangers for two weeks, the good guys and gals that have to do it everyday...well I dunno how you manage it, but fair play to you!

Message boards - online communities - are often taken for granted, but we should not underestimate their importance.
