On the cusp of victory - small Rangers shareholders to make the difference

Last updated : 02 March 2015 By Mark Dingwall

A long-time FollowFollow.com user Andy B has been using copies of the share register, IPO documents, Stock Exchange announcements and private information to work out the voting intentions of Rangers shareholders.

Andy’s work has been of great value as it has enabled those committed to change to identify key shareholders and lobby them to support the seven resolutions to be put to the EGM.

This is not an exact science but at the moment he has arrived at the figure of 48.758%  - but crucially this does not include either the shares of River & Mercantile or those fans who have not yet proxied their shares through fan groups.

Some of those may not vote or vote in favour of the current regime.

So, whilst some are already celebrating we need to keep the pressure on.

A KEY CONSTITUENCY - many shareholders hold their shares through banks or nominee accounts with their shareholders.   If you haven’t already done so you need to make your bank or broker aware of your wishes regarding the vote NOW!

Smaller shareholders - we need a last push from you to proxy your votes or to pop your voting card in the post to the register Capita. Instructions are here -

I’ve used the example previously of a friend of mine who lost his council seat by one vote after three recounts - let’s make sure we win, and if we can, win by a landslide!
