First up are Juve's plans for the delle Alpi stadium. The capacity will be reduced to just over 40,000 with the seats far nearer the action. Due to the new operating arrangements Juve expect to double or treble their match day income, much of which currently goes on leasing the stadium from the council.

Roma's Antonio Cassano was fined £30,000 for missing training and ruling himself out of the squad for the recent match against Perugia. Cassano had a tough upbringing in Bari and has 'personal baggage' according to those close to him. Other associates say he just wants to play and is fed up on the bench.

Filupo Inzaghi's recent Champion's League goals have helped him become Italy's all time record scorer in European competition. His 39th goal broke Alessandro Altobelli's record.

The weekend action saw Milan move top of Serie A on goal difference after defaeting neighbours Inter 1-0 at the San Siro. Serginho scored after 14 minutes in a match Milan deserved to win. Lazio defied their financial turmoil and moved to 3rd spot after winning 4-0 against Modena. Juve drew 1-1 at home with Bologna to move to 2nd.
