Berti Vogts hopes to include Neil McCann in the international squad to face Iceland on October 12.
The popular winger has been out of action for seven weeks but made a welcome return to full training yesterday.
"I spoke with Neil McCann and his manager Alex McLeish. I want to wait for someone like Neil, but it depends on how much football he can get between now and Iceland."
