Last minute news for tonight's game

Over the years we have a good home record against Hearts apart from the occasional blip, even if they're not the most adventurous team to head this way. That's why it was all the more strange to hear Craig Levein complaining about a certain Premier League team's defensive attitude at Tynecastle recently.

I fully expect us to win, maybe 1-0, or 2-0 in a dour defensive battle with the only real hope of entertainment coming from an early Rangers goal in an effort to force Hearts to come out and play. If current form continues I expect DeBoer to be the catalyst for this victory and his guile will be essential when it comes to unlocking the Heart's rearguard, as will the sterling efforts of Arveladze.

Lorenzo and Lovenkrands are out. Amo with a thigh injury, Lovenkrands with his knee.

Back and available for selection despite injury - Ricksen, Shota, Bazza and Arteta.
