Killie Preview

The boys should be looking for revenge after being held 1-1 in the opening game of the season in a result which was perhaps a travesty, but also signalled that a change in attitude was required.

McCann and Nerlinger are both out and Amoruso is a doubt having injured himself in the warm up on Thursday.  Arveladze is still doubtful, and both Barry and de Boer are still carrying knocks which could probably do with a rest.  Whether they will rest having played in a relatively meaningless cup tie is another point.

The Hibs game was hard fought and although they deserved their win it certainly didn't come easy for the boys in blue.  I thought Edwina's autobiography was a bit of a Major cock up but losing Amoruso in the warm up could be even more catastrophic if he's out for any length of time.  Sad to say, but Bertie and Bob don't inspire confidence as a central pairing.

Killie haven't the greatest of records at Ibrox having played 26 there in the Premier League, winning 4, drawing 3 and losing 19 of these.  Overall at Ibrox they have won only 8 games out of a possible 87, with 68 of these being victories for the Champions elect. In the last three seasons Rangers have won 5 out of 6 although the other was a 3-0 defeat in the game which saw arch buffoon Willie Young leaving the pitch laughing, a fact recently eulogised by Graeme Spiers.

However our five victories have included a 5-0 and a 5-1 drubbing of Killie although this Saturday I think we may have to settle for 2-0 and another league victory.

In fact, a pound of Duncer's money will be on de Boer to open the scoring.
