Film being produced about Walter Tull's life

Now there is to be a film made about one of the Britain's best players who should have been a Gers great but who played a game for the club after being sent to the frontline after agreeing to train and sign for the club while stationed in Scotland during military training.

Want to invest and/or become an extra in the film?

"Tull", is in pre-production with Noel Clarke - Mickey Smith in Dr Who; Sam in Kidulthood - as Tull and Ray Winstone's  daughter, Jaime Winstone - Kidulthood -  playing his Suffragette lover Annie.

We have the full support of the Tull family and official backing of the Professional Footballers Association.

We feel the film will be groundbreaking in many ways: apart from being the first Black outfield player in the first division, Tull was  the first Black officer in the British Army, dying at the Second Battle of the Somme after being recommended for a Military Cross (which he never received); it will highlight the UK's rich and varied multi-cultural past; it will be the first film to portray a real-life Black British sporting and military hero; and will be a timely addition to the forthcoming celebrations in 2007 of the abolition of slavery in Britain in 1807; and the Olympics in 2012.

And a good part of it will feature Rangers and Glasgow during the First World War.

This will be the first screenplay that has as its lead a real Black British hero. It does not appeal immediately to traditional investors in this industry. However, having been involved in this field for a while, I have no doubt that this project will be a great success, given the script and the creative and production team we have. (Move over Chariots of Fire!)

We are actively trying to approach Premiership footballers to form an investment consortium and we are in talks with the representative of one player who would like to get into acting. There are a number of such potential casting opportunities.

Would you like to investigate the possibility of playing a part in this film? There are a number of tax-deductable schemes that investors can use, as individuals and groups. We can advise on this. And/or your investment could be used to secure a role as an extra.
