Dundee United Preview

This week we're off to the home of the green, white and gold wonders at Tannadice for the dreaded lunchtime kick-off.  Getting up there for a 12.30pm kick off is bad enough, but Dundee United are sure to be fired up in an attempt to impress their new owner following the great Tannadice soap opera.

Having said that, their results under Alex Smith have been less than satisfactory this season and I will be looking for a Rangers victory after an initial struggle for supremacy.  The key to this (as per usual) will be attitude and committment.

Our record at Tannadice over the last four years has been good, not withstanding a certain Scottish Cup tie which is best forgotten.  Our last seven visits on League duty have seen five victories and two draws with the bears totalling 16 goals for and only three in the debit column.  The corresponding fixture in last year's calendar (spookily the same weekend) saw a Tore Andre Flo hat-trick in an impressive and comfortable 6-1 win.

Being honest, anything remotely similar would be a welcome confidence boost before the Zizkov game on Thursday night.

Overall we have played at Tannadice 51 times on Premier League duty, winning 24 of these, and losing 11 while in all League games up there we have won 34 out of 70. That's just under a 50% rate of victories and I take us to up this percentage rate with a 2-0 victory on Saturday, with deBoer again pulling the strings.
