A 1,415 strong crowd enjoyed a decent game of football with Dumbarton's John Gemmell getting the only goal of the game in the 19th minute.

Bob Davidson shot across the Dumbarton goal in the 6th minute and went close.

In the 18th minute Davidson slipped the ball out to Dany N'Guessan who crossed only for the onrushing Ashkodi to miss his chance. Loy picked up the ball and some skill on the left saw him gain the space to fire over a fine cross.

From the defensive clearance Dumbarton moved the ball smartly forward and John Gemmell smashed the ball firmly into the net.

In the 23rd minute Loy fired in a shot from 18 yards which was well-saved by the home keeper.

Just before the break a run from Jordan McMillan opened up the defence - his pass found Loy who shot just past the post.

Six minutes into the second half Loy again was again in position to fire in a shot - this time hitting the post.

The game ended with a a fine solo run and shot from sub Derek Carcary which brought another fine save from Sons' keeper Grindlay.
