Desert Bears¹ Treble Party

The Dubai Loyal¹s Treble Party went off with a bang earlier this month, with
over 100 supporters from around the region making the trip. Gers legends
Davie Provan and Tam Forsyth had flown especially for the event and treated
the boisterous crowd to a string of stories from their glory days at Ibrox.

³We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here, and would like to thank the Dubai
Loyal committee for making our stay a memorable one,² said Big Tam. ³The
Loyal¹s attempt to rename Biggles Bar for the event to ŒThe Tap Inn¹ was
personally appreciated by me.²

Raffles with a number of top prizes were included on the day, with various
fans winning free meals at top restaurants in Dubai as well as hotel
accommodation. An auction was also held, with signed shirts and policemen¹s
helmets being snapped up by enthusiastic bidders.

Children were also kept busy at the event, with face painting, swimming and
a clown keeping them entertained while their parents enjoyed their
refreshments!

³The day has been a huge success, and we would like to ask all those who
turned up to keep in touch for future events. I¹d also like to thank Davie
and Tam on behalf of all the supporters for making this event what it was,²
said Norrie MacDonald, Dubai Loyal. ³On another note, we used the event to
announce the start of the Œlast Friday of the month club,¹which will take
place at Biggles Bar between 4 and 7 every month, and will involve
discussion, a televised match and quizzes. The next 2 dates are June 27th
and July 25th.²

Those that turn up will also get a chance to register as members of the
Middle East Desert Bears, which is to act as the first official Middle
East-wide Rangers supporters club, and get the opportunity to take part in
future events, such as the annual club dinner.
