Demonstration called against Sports Direct at Ibrox on Saturday

Fans and supporters clubs have been asked to bring their flags and banners for a demo which will start at 2pm.

The joint Rangers and Sports Direct deal signed up to by the old board is extremely bad for Rangers - in  previous years just 75p from every £10 spent would go to the club.  This years figures in the club accounts make for even worse reading.

Sons of Struth spokesman Craig Houston said in a statement - “SoS will be purchasing large safe banners to be displayed in the vicinity of the store highlighting the reasons for our boycott. To show unity in the fanbase we would ask all RSC's and groups to bring their banners. Lets get the flags out.  Obviously any fan wishing to purchase from the store during our protest should be allowed to do so unhindered, however we would respectfully appeal to fans who may visit the store to browse to refrain from doing so during our event. Our aim is an empty store. We will not enter the store nor cause any concern to staff.”

Follow Follow urges all its users who can make it along - even if just for ten minutes - to take part in the demonstration.

NB - The organisers are mindful that there will be a short Remembrance event at the John Greig statue at 1.30pm - where the club will honour those who have died in conflict before the kick-off - and therefore no protests will be held inside the ground.
