Blow for Gers goalkeeping pair

McGregor is in hospital
Rangers keepers' Jesper Christiansen and Allan McGregor both had a Thursday to forget when the Dane was told he had no future at Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and U21 international McGregor ended up in hospital.

Brilliantly named Wolfsburg coach Wolfgang Wolf has grown frustrated at seeing Christiansen on the sidelines and is unlikely to want to retain the keeper who is on loan there until the end of the season.

McGregor was hurt in a collision with Kevin Kyle in training as the U21's prepared for their clash with Iceland. He was taken to hospital where he was kept under observation for several hours but is doing well now, although he is expected to be out for around a fortnight.

This leaves Rangers with only young Graeme Smith as back-up to Stefan Klos.
