Rangers this evening announced that Dick Advocaat will leave the club in
November. The official statement reads as follows:-

Rangers FC today confirmed that current Director of Football, Dick
Advocaat, will leave the club in November, a year after the appointment of
Alex McLeish.

Dick took up his position to assist with the introduction of the new manager
and has seen through a seamless transition. By mutual consent he was been
working on a shared basis with the club and the Dutch national football
association. However this announcement, together with the progression of
the qualification matches for the European Championships will lead to his
time becoming fully committed to the Dutch national team.

David Murray, Honorary Chairman, said "Dick Advocaat's achievements with
Rangers should not be underestimated in any way. Twice voted Manager of the
Year, he won a double and a treble with the first team, his determination
in creating training and youth development facilities has benefited our club
and created a solid foundation for the future. I thank him for his
contribution."

The club had no immediate plans to replace Dick in the position of Director
of Football.
