How much am I bid for the Celtic investigation report?
As I write this, four Celtic fans have just been found guilty in Cardiff. It
brought to my mind one question.
When is Celtic's investigation into the riot on the plane and riot at the
Spanish airport going to come out? We had a press conference to start it.
Can we have a press conference to close it out?
We await with bated breath for the outcome of this in-depth expose of the
aircrew's capabilities. The faulty smoke alarm in the aeroplane toilet and
the drug or drink induced hallucination of the pilot. Oh sorry, it just
didn't go to plan (or is that plane!). Four of Celtic's infamous away
support have been fined - for being drunk and abusive to the aircrew.
This was supposed to be a plane 'full of professional people'. One worked
in McDonalds, another was a welder. I'm not decrying their occupations, but
the are not in the 'Leader of industry' category are they?
Are Celtic now going to remove their season tickets? Does the Pope wear a
big hat?
We sit at the edge of our seats waiting for the outcome of the Spanish
police brutality and corruption. Why they attacked poor defenceless Celtic
supporters, stole the wheels from their wheelchairs and bloodied their good
six year old tops?
Or will it print the truth? Drunken mhob try to force their way through the
departure gates. Would they have been trying to get to the cheap drink
airside by any chance?
Is the report at the printers, how many pages are devoted to the great
behaviour of the Celtic away support at... Ahem, what can we put in here.
Blackburn... nope (Police fault again), Amsterdam... nope (bad locals),
Paris... nope (only trying to get over the fence).
Keevins talking about a similar incident on a plane going to Stuttgart. He
explained that his sister was a air hostess and someone always tried to
smoke on the plane.
Wrong Hugh, I do a good bit of travelling with my work. I have never seen it
happen. Not once since the airlines all started to ban smoking. Hugh, you
can make excuses for them, but do not lie for them, it just makes you lack
as daft as the rest of the flock.
Did you notice the PR job done by the Press on the Celtic fans visit to
Stuttgart. Keevins did his bit, they even managed to get Shields to leave
Barcelona to cover their flying visit. Next time they will get the big guns
out.
We are all having a laugh at their misfortune. The best bit is, if Celtic
had just taken it on the chin, chastised their fans right at the beginning,
this would have been all forgotten about. Another fish supper wrapper.
Celtic wanted to believe their fans, as they also want to believe their
players over Buffalo Joe's. They have lost one.
