1877 shirts - The Gallant Pioneers

Last updated : 27 October 2009 By Grandmaster Suck

Now, to coincide with the publication of the Gallant Pioneers book the Rangers Founders Committee has produced t-shirts to mark the famous game.

Several members of the club, then only a few years old, were also members of the Clyde Amateur Rowing Club whose club badge is traditionally a six pointed star. So, historians reckon that they got a loan of the CARC kit for the official photograph and perhaps also played the match wearing it.

The pantone number used in the printing of the shirts is exactly the same shade as that used by Clyde Amateur.

We thought we'd keep the print as simple and as near the original shirt as possible.

All proceeds from the sale of shirts will go to the ongoing work of the Rangers Founders Committee.

The shirts cost £8.99 inc p+p in the UK. (£11.99 inc p+p abroad)
