Weekend Horse Racing Advice

The race revolves around three very good horses in Rakti, Starcraft and Dubawi. My preference is for the unpredictable Rakti. I feel if he doesn’t get too wound up before the start and that the ground remains quick he will win. Starcraft won very well in France recently and may have taken time to acclimatise since coming over from Australia. Dubawi probably has just the best form but he prefers the ground with some cut. So all in all I think Rakti can win this.

Sendintank is avery interesting contender in the Fenwolf Stakes a listed race over 2 miles at 2.35. He steps up from handicap company after an excellent win at Doncaster last time. He needs to find a few pounds improvement to win this but I believe that he is capable of doing that. There are dangers to him notably Dubai Success along with Lost Soldier Three, Foreign Affairs and Duke of Venice. However, I’m taking Sendintank’s finishing burst to prove decisive.

Two others to look out for are Ouija Board in the 2.00 and Rumplestiltskin in the 3.05. Neither of these will be much of a price however.

Racing at Haydock has a very tricky look to it with three big handicaps on TV. The 3 O’Clock looks most interesting with Bygone Days and Khabfair turning out again after running decent races in last Saturday’s Ayr Gold Cup. They will be tackled by Machinist who won the Silver Cup at Ayr and other likely types in Indian Trail, Les Arcs and Cyclical. I think Bygone Days can gain compensation for his Ayr defeat and win this.
