NARROW WIN FOR IBROX YOUNGSTERS

Rangers 2 (Fraser 29, McCormack 53) Dundee 1 (Voigt 3 Pen)

There was an early setback for the home side when a
Jon Voight penalty in three minutes gave Dundee the
lead.

The Ibrox youngsters fought back, and were twice
denied when Dens’ goalkeeper Tony McCafferty defied
Andy Dick and Charlie Adam.

The equaliser duly arrived on the half-hour however
when former Celtic player Gary Fraser headed home a
Ross McCormack cross.

McCormack has been in outstanding form of late, and he
it was who secured the three points in 53 minutes with
a superb twenty-yard free-kick.

The League Leaders might have added to their lead, but
in the end the 2-1 scoreline was enough.
