A ninth minute strike from new signing Derek Carcary
from a Bob Davidson cross opened the scoring - yet for
the remainder of the first-half it was home goalkeeper
Jamie McDonald who defied the Light Blues with several
outstanding saves, in particular from former Queen's
Parker Carcary again, Steven Campbell, and Brian
Gilmour.
THe second-half would prove to be a different story
however as Hearts made their superior physical
strength tell.
Rangers' defence held firm until the 83rd minute when
Calum Elliott headed home the equaliser.
Four minutes later - from another dead-ball - Jamie
Mole found the net with a close range header to put
the home side 2-1 up.
Just when it looked like an undeserved defeat, Rangers
equalised one minute into injury time when a long pass
from Jordan McMillan found Davidson who retained his
composure to rifle the ball into the net.
