This Weeks Fab Four

Last updated : 13 February 2003 By Grandmaster Suck
Tough to find many decent investments at evens or above this week. So opting
for the best odds we can find for the picks. So no Top Ten this week, just another four selections to make up the Best Of The Rest below for the doubles and trebles punters.

Although 60/1 odds may tempt some folks to shove a bit of sweetie money on a
second, but possibly more risky, foursome.

This weeks Fab Four:

Kidderminster v TORQUAY 2/1

Good odds offered for 4th placed Torquay who have lost only two games out of the last ten. Losing 3-2 to leaders Hartlepool and 2-1 to on-fire Wrexham was no disgrace. More recently a respectable draw against 5th placed Bury followed by beating Exeter last week shows that the Gulls have not given up the fight for a promotion place just yet.

They take on Kidderminster who are in 12th place courtesy of having only managed a total of six wins from fifteen home games. Abysmal form continued last week with a draw against Carlisle who are in an even more lowly place down at 19th.

Pars face tough trip to Easter Road
HIBERNIAN
EVS v Dunfermline

Hibs (6th) poor recent form won't last forever and neither will the offer of decent odds when they are at Easter Road. Before their two defeats at Motherwell last week and Rangers previously they had a nice 6 match run with only one reverse v Kilmarnock to sully the record.

Dunfermline one place above them have appeared to have lost their early-season momentum producing only one win and five straight defeats from their last six starting a push down the table.

St Johnstone v INVERNESS CT 6/4

ICT's impressive run of 12 straight wins and one defeat, came to an abrupt halt when their management team departed. 4 draws on the trot followed by two defeats has seen them slip down the table to 2nd place.

But the 4-3 battling reverse against leaders Falkirk last week shows that there may be signs of recovery with both top strikers Wyness & Ritchie once again finding the net after a four week drought.

The Saints are breathing down the Highlanders necks in 3rd. With their last six producing four straight wins and a decent draw against Falkirk plus the sole defeat was at the hands off hot-shots Clyde.

Tight one to call, but if ICT's form is on the up once more you want get these tempting odds again for a while.

Forfar v RAITH ROVERS 5/4

Leaders Rovers have not suffered an away loss since August last year. In fact before the blip versus Brechin last week you would have to go back to October to find their last defeat home or away. 7th-placed Forfar has had some patchy form during the same period.

Four straight losses, followed by the same number of wins, then two lost, three won before losing to Stranraer last week. So once more we have tasty odds to complete the foursome on the back of our opponents decent form.
