This weeks Fab Four

PREM- Blackburn v EVERTON 5/4

There seems to be no stopping second-place Everton’s excellent run this season which kicked off with a defeat at Arsenal but since then only Chelsea and Spurs have taken all three points from the toffees. They visit 3rd from the bottom Blackburn who have only two wins in total from their entire season. Last win was away to Fulham (2-0 27th November) but since then have failed to score a goal far less collect all points.

Expect Everton to ‘Mint’ all three points to add to their impressive tally in pursuit of Chelsea.

CC1- Port Vale v OLDHAM 9/5

With Vale in 18th and Oldham only 4 places above them this may look at first sight to be a stick on draw, or perhaps a dodgy home win. But digging a little deeper Vale’s position has not been helped with only two wins from their last six games but Oldham’s five wins over the same period compares more than favourably. Athletic have now won four games on the trot and scored 12 goals in the process all against far more lofty rivals than their hosts this weekend.

Excellent chance of Oldham leaving behind a Vale of Tears and at surprisingly generous odds for the punter too.

EL2- Leyton Orient v YEOVIL 13/8

Yeovil recently moved into second place thanks to a fine run of five wins from their last six games but still remain 7 points adrift from Scunthorpe at the top. Although Orient are lumbering behind in 7th there are only 4 points between them and Yeovil. So it’s all to play for but Leyton’s abysmal record of only one win in their last six is a fair pointer as to who the victors will be today.

With their tails well up and wagging it looks like the visitors will take advantage of an Orient Express apparently stuck in neutral and record their third victory in a row today.

EL2- Rushden v SCUNTHORPE 21/20*

If Orient are to catch Scunthorpe it won’t be this weekend as the visitors have been only beaten three times this season and you have to go way back to October 17th to find a single blemish of defeat in their otherwise almost perfect current formbook. Since then they have went on an amazing eight match undefeated run and the last six were straight wins. Rushden are feeding at the bottom of the League Two pond in 21st place and seem to be enjoying life down there. Recorded only 4 victories all season the latest was the last day of October when they notched up a surprising 5-1 home gubbing of Notts County but promptly returned to more familiar ways with five straight losses in a row before struggling to a goalless draw at home to Mansfield last week.

This is the “Mismatch Of The Day” odds are mean but at least better than evens which is a good enough return for what looks like the weekends banker.
