This weekend's horse racing

M Pipe has a strong hand here with likely favourite Our Vic and newly recruited Redemption. I expect Redemption to win if his jumping holds up. Others worthy of consideration are Farmer Jack, Monkerhostin, Thisthatandtoher and Scot’s Grey.

The Bula hurdleat 3.15 features Rooster Booster and I fully expect him to regain the winning thread. He might have most to fear from the progressive pair Back in Front and Inglis Drever. If Inglis Drever runs he should ensure the decent pace which Rooster Booster seems to require to show his best.

If Kelrev runs in the 12.55 instead of the 2.40 he should be followed. I’m certain that 2M is his best trip and he would have a much improved chance if sent for this event.

The 1.30 appears to be at the mercy of the progressive grey Monet’s Garden. This represents a step up in class for him, but he should take it in his stride.

I would also point everyone in the direction of Rakti in Hong Kong at the weekend. He is a bit of a loony and he ran poorly in Japan a couple of weeks back. However, he ran well here last year when second to Falbrav and if he is in a good mood he can win this easily.
