THE WAY WE WERE

To think that guys like Goram, Gough, Steven, Laudrup, McCoist, Hateley, Gazza and many more would all be at their peak during their time at Ibrox brings a tear to the eye. Without being disrespectful to the current generation of players, they are well adrift of the weekend's legends.

I was fortunate enough to chat to a few of them later and I can't help thinking that, with so much feeling for the Rangers, men like Miko, Huistra and Laudrup could surely act as ambassadors for our club in their respective countries, helping to persuade up-and-coming players to come to Ibrox.

Or is such a simple idea beyond the comprehension of those currently calling the shots at Ibrox?
