The Hearts Ticket Fiasco

Last updated : 22 August 2005 By AyeReady1985
It has become apparent over the last few weeks that
Hearts supposedly have a lot more supporters than they were letting on.

After wins against Kilmarnock, a poor Hibs team and Dundee Utd has
left them believing they can challenge the Old Firm for the title
although they wont admit to it.

So these new "so called" fans who all of a sudden are deciding to go
and watch the men in maroon are acting as a catalyst for the Hearts
hierarchy to request a reduction in tickets for away supporters
visiting Tynecastle.

This is well out of order, for one this portrays a distinct lack of
respect to us bears who have filled there Roseburn stand in cold winter
days as well as being taken for mugs paying around £26 quid for a
ticket. Every season we fill that stand which provided Hearts in the
past vital financial benefit.

When the away ticket allocations were being finalised the uncertainty
of the future ownership of Hearts still remained firmly in the balance.
At this point in time the club were only to happy to agree to our
allocation. However a few months later when they have a rich new owner
and herds of new glory hunters packing there stadium they turn round
and say " on second thoughts we want to take 1500 tickets off you"
tickets that have already been allocated to fans such as myself.

On reading my away allocation this year, the most exciting match seemed
to be the trip to Gorgie in March. Now it looks like many bears may
have to do without tickets for this game due to these idiots in
Edinburgh who firmly believe they are up there with us.

If our allocation is cut this season or next I firmly look forward to
them grovelling to us in a few years time begging us to fill there
stands again.

We Are The People.
