SPL UNDER-21 LEAGUE - Rangers 2 (Brighton 62, Hutton 81) Motherwell 0

Last updated : 21 October 2003 By Grandmaster Suck
It was a game the Ibrox youngsters totally dominated
from start to finish, yet it took over an hour for the
deadlock to be broken when a long pass from Andy Dowie
found Darryl Duffy who knocked the ball on for
Brighton to drive home a low left-foot shot.

Both Maurice Ross and Stephen Hughes were immediately
substituted, presumably with Wednesday night's game in
mind, and it was substitute Daniel Fortunato who
created the second goal with a slide-rule pass to the
overlapping Hutton who cleverly bent the ball round
the advancing 'Well goalkeeper Barry John Corr and
into the net.

Most impressive for Rangers were Chris Burke, Andy
Dowie and Stephen Hughes - all of whom should be in
line for at least a place on the bench come Wednesday
at Ibrox.
