SFA let Hunt off the hook

The SFA have again let a Rangers opponent off of the disciplinary hook  by applying double standards.

No action will be taken against Dunfermline's striker Noel Hunt who was caught on TV spitting on Bert Konterman last Sunday in the Scottish Cup  tie at East End Park.

After reviewing the footage the SFA have farcically decided it merited  no action as there was ³no case to answer² despite Hunt being clearly  caught in the act.  The video review panel will not now be empanelled to sit on  the case.

This in stark contrast to the four-match ban handed out to Rangers Lorenzo Amoruso for a far less clear-cut incident involving Ayr's James Grady.

The SFA's head of the disciplinary and referees department Drew
Herbertson said: "We review these matches as a matter of course to see if there is anything amiss.

"While we acknowledge that there was a spitting incident, the TV
evidence was inconclusive as to the exact nature of it and so it has not been referred to the video review panel."
