Scotland to play Switzerland

The Swiss, who are joint hosts of the Euro 2008 tournament, will come to Scotland for the match, and there is the added prospect of a return fixture over the following year or two. Meanwhile, the Scottish FA is in the final stages of negotiations for another attractive home international fixture on Saturday 12 November, with discussions taking place with several European nations. An announcement will be made once a firm agreement has been reached. These are the only two international dates available to Walter Smith's team before the end of the season, but the other important date to put in the diary is the Euro 2008 draw in Montreux on Friday, 27 January.
