HAMILTON Park racecourse is getting set for its annual gathering of racy ladies!

Ladies' Night - that most stylish of sporting occasions at Hamilton Park - takes place on Thursday, June 24 at 7.05 pm

Hamilton Park Chief Executive Morag Gray said: "There's no doubt that
Ladies' Night is one of the highlights of the sporting and social calendar in Scotland.

"Hamilton Park is a fitting backdrop for many of the outstanding outfits worn on this most prestigious of occasions. And it¹s worth remembering that although it¹s called Ladies Night and the races have a strong feminine flavour, the meeting is not just for women - men are welcome, too!"

That OTHER night of sport and style - Saints and Sinners Evening which was held last week - attracted its biggest crowd in recent times to Hamilton Park with 8000 people enjoying this important charity occasion. The figure is up 400 on last year's meeting.

Morag added: "On Ladies' Night, we will again have the splendid Marquee filled with many of the things women love - great beauty products, free perfume samples, designer clothing and exquisite shoes. It¹s not to be missed."

While Hamilton Park has no official dress code, racegoers are encouraged, if they wish, to use the occasion to dress up. As is the custom on Ladies' Night, a number of prizes will be awarded in a series of style-related competitions.

Independent judges will tour the racecourse during the meeting to select the best-dressed individuals. Prizes of vouchers and gifts will be awarded for categories which include "The Most Stylish Outfit", "The Best Dressed Couple", "The Most Gorgeous Shoes", and "Best Hat of the Evening".

The Ladies' Night feature race is The European Breeders' Fund Conditions Stake offering prize money of £18,000.

Entrances to the racecourse open two hours before the first race.

The full Ladies Night racecard is as follows:

7.05 - The Diet Irn Bru Lady Amateur Handicap Stakes
