RANGERS 6/5 Draw 9/4 Celtic 9/5

As befits two clubs who appear to reside on the opposite sides of the planet
it seems that as the sun begins to set on Celtic's domestic hopes, it is
well and truly rising over Ibrox way.

Just over a month ago Celtic were seriously competing for four trophies. But
in (what could be a record) six short days they were out of both the League
and Scottish Cups, at the hands of Rangers and ICT.

Despite following this with two weeks of rest, (and we hear these chaps are
very fond of their rest) Celtic could only manage a 1-1 draw versus Dundee
on their return to league business. Hooped hopes were then raised with a 2-0
win over Killie, before Hearts put them to the sword last week.

Meanwhile Rangers, 'Just Do It' as their fans are so fond of saying. One
trophy in the bag, and another Final place booked. A win in the SC final
would apparently be a record of four back-to-back cups for any new Rangers
manager.

But it is the Championship that Mr McLeish has firmly set his sights on from
the start. Beyond his grasp when he arrived last time, his grim
determination in capturing this one is being transferred onto the playing
field as can be seen in some pleasing results albeit occasionally failing
performances.

Rangers have every edge they could possibly ask for. They can afford to lose
this one and still win the league. The opposition has beaten them only once
in nine attempts under the current managers. They have a 100% win record at
home. And they have a increasingly nervous opposition incredibly claiming
that playing Portuguese relegation-fodder midweek will 'tire' them for the
trip to Ibrox.

There is nothing guaranteed in these encounters. If Rangers produce any of
the abysmal efforts that occurred during the season from time to time then
Celtic will surely punish them for it. But the formbook says Rangers, and
again, as in the last encounter at Ibrox, 3 goals are forecast for the
blues.

Suggested bets:

HT/FT Forecast- RANGERS/RANGERS @ 13/5 looks like good value considering
Rangers impregnable home advantage and their overall record of being ahead
at half time in no less than 23 of their 28 league victories this season.

You can also get Draw/Rangers @ 4/1 or  Celtic/Rangers @ 25/1

Correct Score:

It is possible Rangers can once again put 3 past their visitors, a correct
score forecast of 3-1 pays 16/1 and you can add 3-2 @ 25's for a hedge.

Other odds for a correct score in Rangers favour:

1-0 13/2
2-0 9/1
2-1 15/2
3-0 20/1
3-1 16/1
3-2 25/1

First player to score as always is a lottery will put some sweetie money on
MOLS @ 6/1.

Rest of First Scorer Odds:

S Arveladze  11/2
M MOLS 6/1
P Lovenkrands 6/1
S Thompson 13/2
R De Boer 7/1
C Caniggia 15/2
B Ferguson 9/1
N McCann 12/1
M Arteta 16/1
L Amoruso 22/1
B Konterman 25/1
F Ricksen 33/1
A Numan 40/1
C Moore 40/1
K Muscat  50/1
M Ross  50/1
R Malcolm  50/1

No Goal 8/1
Own Goal 25/1

DODGY DOUBLE - HT/FT  RANGERS/RANGERS plus Correct Score 3-1, returns 61/1,
or a 3-2 scoreline in the double yields a more generous 94/1. Might be
worthwhile hedging both options with a small stake.
