David Murray has denied that Rangers are interested in Japanese star Astsushi Yamagisawa who plays for J-League side Kashima Antlers.

The Ibrox side, was reported to be leading the race for the £2 million striker, with a host of other Clubs also in the race for Yamagisawa.

The Rangers chairman has revealed that he is not on the list of players Alex McLeish has targeted for his summer signings.
Athletic Bilbao hitman Ismael Urzaiz is on McLeish's list, after Dick Advocaat's interest in Swede Marcus Allback wasn't mirrored by his successor - who believes him to be too similar in style to Shota Arveladze.
David Murray also issued the following statement regarding the signing of Frank de Boer:
"Frank de Boer is a top quality player but I came out at the end of last week and made it clear that our financial policy has to change.
"We have a squad of players here and if the manager thinks that any of them are not suitable then they will be moved on and replacements will be found. As I said before, we will not become net spenders,"

Also reported today that Aston Villa are ready to make an £8 million for Tore Andre Flo, who is also wanted by Fulham.
