Johnny Hubbard - The Penalty King - book signing and competition

Last updated : 15 October 2015 By Grandmaster Suck

Johnny is known as “The Penalty King” in recognition of his fantastic record in never missing a penalty - although Johnny does admit a couple of goal keepers did save one or two (!) but he was always on target.

One of his goals from free play has been described by Sir Alex Ferguson as ‘easily the best I’ve ever seen.’

He left his native South Africa at just 18, signed by Bill Struth and playng alongside the likes of Waddell, Young, Gillick, Shaw and Thornton.  Later in life his work as a sports coach would earn him an MBE.

We’ll do a full review of the book later but in the meantime - the competition.
