Rangers youngster Stephen Hughes is about to put pen to paper and sign for Rangers until 2007.
Alex Mcleish has had talks with the Ibrox youngster and his agent over the last few weeks and has offered him an improved contract.
It is believed the new deal will make Hughes the highest paid teenager in Scottish football.
Hughes was quoted as saying "I'm finalising things at the moment and hopefully I can stay here for a few more years". "The contract hasn't been signed yet, but it should be soon"
"It's good that the club want to keep me, but I have been leaving things to my agent and he knows the finer details of what's happening"
