Now his pals at Cambuslang Rangers FC are putting on a memorial tournament in his name on Saturday and Sunday the 31st July and 1st August with the home club up against a team from Rangers and guests Alloa and Clydebank. The official reply from Rangers states they will be delighted to send a team of Reserves and U19s.
Whether first team games, Reserves and U19s - home and abroad, in season and pre-season - the big man was a cheerful presence and a valued member of the 'Reserve Team Loyal.'
A special issue of the Rangers Lotto in Garry's name last year brought in £45,000 for youth development - a UK record.
Tickets for the tournament cost £5 per day, £3 for kids and OAPs. See you there!
