5 To Follow

The Five To Follow have some difficult games this weekend but I am reasonably confident they will come up with the goods. The 5 are:
Southampton 12/5
Sheffield Utd 17/10
QPR Ev's
Hull 6/5
Peterhead 8/13

Fixed Odds

A bit unlucky with the internationals last week, a late goal from the Czech Republic, A Cypriot comeback that ran out of steam, useless performances from Sweden and Wales, Still I did manage to predict a draw in the Denmark game.

This week I have dug out a few certs. Well possibly not certs but 5 teams with good solid chances.

Luton 6/4
Luton have put together a decent run of results to get themselves to within 6 points of the top of Division 1. Brentford have lost 3 out of 6 games at home and will be relegation candidates unless they start to improve. It is true to say that Luton can be unreliable but I fancy them to pick up 3 points on Saturday.

Oldham 6/4
Oldham don't lose away from home too often, admittedly they have had more draws than wins away this season but Tranmere are another club who will be joining in the relegation dogfight as the season progresses. A 6-0 gubbing by Plymouth on Saturday will have done Tranmere no good at all while Oldham recorded a 2-1 against, almost, top of the table Port Vale. This weekends banker.

Carlisle 11/8
Ok I know what you are thinking, why has he picked the team at the bottom of Division 3 who have just about the worst record of any team anywhere in the UK?
Simple, I watched them play Hull on Sunday afternoon and they were most unlucky to leave Hull without at least a point. Fellow strugglers Macclesfield will not offer the same level of resistance that Hull did. This could bethe start of the long awaited Carlisle revival.

East Fife 5/4
This should be a formality 2nd top East Fife against 2nd bottom Arbroath. Generous odds for what looks like an easy away win.

Stirling 8/13
Does anyone know/care why this pair are playing each other 2 weeks in a row? Last Saturday was an easy 3-0 home win for Stirling. No reason to suppose the outcome won't be the same at Links Park this weekend as Montrose look for their 1st home(or away) win of the season against Stirling who have a 100% away record.

Spread Bet
Success at last. I recommended a BUY on 'time of 1st goal' in the Turkey v England game last weekend. I must say david Beckham did us a huge favour. I thought we would be settling for a modest £5 profit when the penalty was awarded but thanks to his miss, has that ball dropped from orbit yet?, a rather hamdsome £50 in yer paws if you followed the advice.
Rather predictably I am sticking with M Arteta 'goal minutes' this weekend. BUY at around 14-16 for £1. We are due a penalty and Fir Park is just the place to get one.
The 'Booking Points' spread will be worth a look too, if the game gets off to a quiet start and the market drops to 40 it should be worth a BUY. Not many games involving Motherwell pass without a few bookings.
