Farewell to Annie Miller's this weekend - with an auction of memorabilia

Last updated : 25 May 2016 By Grandmaster Suck

Sadly, the owners are selling the building and Stevie and staff are packing up - the licence lasts until the 31st of this month so it will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for those who want to say goodbye.

On Friday they are having an auction, starting at 7.30pm, of their excellent memorabilia - half the profits will go to the Soldiers Off Our Streets charity.  Check out the items on their Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/375784704450/

Annie Millers hosted many a Follow Follow readers and writers meeting and not a few of other Rangers groups and organisations - much of the planning for the March on Hampden was done in the upstairs lounge.  It’s sad to see it go.

I’ve very fond memories of mine hosts Tommy and Flo Rodger - especially when Flo banned Tommy from his own pub! - see this wee article about Tommy - http://www.followfollow.com/news/tmnw/tommy_rodger_rip_161094/index.shtml

In recent  years Joe, Steff and the staff have been very good friends to Follow Follow and indeed to all Bluenoses lucky enough to make their way into the pub.

I hope everyone has a blast - it’ll be sad but once it’s over there will only be good memories.  Thanks for all the fun.
