Davie Cooper Lives On In Our Hearts

Last updated : 13 October 2004 By Man From Delmonte

Next year sees the 10th anniversary of the death of my
all time Rangers hero David Cooper, tragically taken
from us at such an early age but not suprisingly on a
football park where he had been teaching kids some of
his magic.

Over the past few days Grandmaster Suck and i have
been discussing various ways for not only the fanzine
but the club and fans as a whole to celebrate the life
of not only a Gers great but also a fan , a man of the
people.

Everyone has there story of Coop or there memory of
his magic, he'll never be forgotten that's for sure by
the thousands upon thousands of football fans that
ever saw him play.

One of the things about Davie I'll never forget is how
he stayed with us when the club really was in a
terrible state as it was his club The Rangers, that
was his dream and he was there to live it through the
good times and the bad fortunately there was more good
than bad.

It has been decided that a massive banner with the
great man on the ball should be made up and i have
been looking into getting it done professionally, with
Coop on the ball and a few words.

Ajax have one for Cruyff, its our turn to honour Davie
in the same way.

The banner will be available for all Rangers fans in
all stands and its hoped to see it move stands each
game, it will be made by the people for the people.
