Crucial Month Of March

If we play like we did on Saturday 3rd January in either or both the Cup and League games against Celtic, we will be knocked out of the cup and even further behind in the league!

As well as the players, the fans have to play their part too. I sat in the Copland for the Livingston game in January. Since the early 80's I have watched all the games I have been to from the Govan Rear. However, my cousin was visiting Ibrox for the first time so I gave him my season ticket in the Govan Rear and sat in the Copland Rear with my girlfriend.

I was surprised at the'support' the team received from some 'fans' two people to our right came into the ground after 25 minutes and left to go to the pub at half time! Someone to my left came in after the game was more than half an hour in and left at half time too! He was in the ground for less than 20 minutes! What is the point of these 'fans' going to games? Rangers do not need fans like this. I was surprised and disappointed that people like this are amongst the Rangers support.

I am the subway loyal's biggest critic, but I was speechless when I witnessed fans leaving at half time! If you prefer to go to the pub than watch Rangers, you are not and never will be a Ranger - it's as simple as that.

After the last Old Firm game, Alex McLeish stated in public that he would be switching his attention to the Tennent's Scottish Cup and CIS Insurance Cup. After the defeat to Hibs we have one goal. We must win at Parkhead on the 7th March. Defeat in this Cup game is unthinkable.

Those of us who are at these Old Firm games should give the team our full support. If we give the team our maximum support we can be a 12th man for the players and may just spur us to a much needed victory against our biggest rivals. It will bring the Celtic fans back down to earth and will give us a chance of progressing in the Scottish Cup our only chance of silverware this season.

This season is going from bad to worse and it's embarrassing that the likes of Hibs and Aberdeen are more 'up for' games than the Rangers team. This must change.
