Betting Guide to the final Old Firm match of the season

Before a ball is kicked on Saturday , you can get 6/4 on Rangers (at totesport) to win the SPL. If you fancy us to win on Saturday, get your money on now, because that price will drop. If we lose on Saturday, it won't matter what price you get, you won't be getting paid out.

As expected it's tight betting on the match. Rangers can be taken at 7/5 with Sportingbet and PaddyPower, the draw is 12/5 at Stanjames, whilst the unthinkable is 21/10 with WmHills.

Normally at this point I tell you there is no value in betting on us. A Rangers-Celtic game is different, and you get the best price all season on these games.

If you are feeling confident we'll be in front by half-time, and win the game, Coral are giving 100/30 for the HT-FT, whereas the draw-Rangers that I fancy is 9/2 in a lot of places. If you fancy us to overturn a halftime deficit and win, it's 33/1 at sportingbet. A wee word of warning, that hasn't happened for about 30 years!

If you want to bet on First Goalscorer the first task is to read the manager's mind. Kris Boyd is 6/1 with Skybet, Kenny Miller and Andrius Velicka are 7/1 with a few, Nacho Novo and Kyle Lafferty are 8/1 with a lot of them, Maurice Edu is 28/1 with bet365, Majid Bougherra is 50/1 in places, David Weir is 50/1 with BetFred. In a game like this no-one can be discounted, and a set piece could see the opener.

Correct Score? Well no real guide so far this season, 4-1, 0-1 and 0-0 twice. A 1-0 win is 7/1 with Ladbrokes and Coral, a 2-0 win is 11/1 with sporting, and a 3-0 win is 25/1 in a few bookies.

Some bookies have gone to town on this one, and there are a few more unusual markets. Some of them are:-

Rangers to win to nil - 16/1 (paddypower)

Rangers to get 1st corner - 8/11 (betfred,stanjames)

Rangers to have first booking - Evs (betfred) - a decent shout with Craig Thomson in charge!

1st goal to be an own goal - 25/1 (boylesports/paddypower)

Celtic to miss a penalty - 22/1 (888,bluesq)

And loads more.

Whatever you bet, I just hope we're all smiling come 3 o'clock on Saturday, whether we get a line up or not!
