Betting Advice - Midweek World Cup Qualifiers

Can all four Home Nations record Home wins on Wednesday? Eh, that'll probably be a no. Not being pessimistic, but the odds don't exactly look favourable.

Scotland First. At Home to Iceland. 3/5 is the best price available at expect.com. If you saw the game on Saturday you'll not be filled with optimism that the Scots will win. 11/4 with Bet365 for the draw looks decent, and the Icelandics are 11/2 with BoyleSports and Skybet.

First goalscorer sees 11/2 available for quite both Miller (at Paddypower)and Fletcher (Skybet), and 13/2 for Iwelumo and Clarkson (Skybet for both). Eidur Gudjohnsen is 8/1 with BetFred.

Correct Score betting can sometimes be useful. 0-0 is 9/1 with Sportingebt, 1-0 Scotland is 11/2 at Wm Hills and 1-0 Iceland 12/1 at a few including 888.com
Possible the worst bet available is Scotland to win by 4 goals or more, at a best 14/1.

England return to competitive action at home to the Ukraine. A much stiffer test than they had at the weekend, and the best priced 4/9 at Ladbrokes is not great. 7/2 the draw is available at bet365 and an unlikely away win is at 8/1 with Boylesports.

Once again, look to the other markets for real value. Rooney is 9/2 with PaddyPower to score the first goal, Gerrard is 6/1 at Stan James, and Crouch is 6/1 with Ladbrokes. Andriy Shevchenko and Andriy Voronin are both 10/1 in quite a few places.

One to be noted is the 28/1 with 888, PaddyPower and Bluesq for Rooney to score a hat-trick.

A HT-FT of England-England is best priced at even money with most bookies, more value is the draw-England, at 7/2 with Ladbrokes and Coral.

Northern Ireland disposed of Poland (with a little help from a suspect goalkeeper), but now need to prove they can do it against smaller nations too. They can be snapped up at 11/8 with Skybet at home to Slovenia. The draw is 9/4 with Stan James and Boylesports, and an away win is 12/5 with bet365.

I know little about the Slovenians, but Novakovic is only 6/1 to score the first goal. Dundee Utd's Feeney is 7/1 with a few bookies, and David Healey is 6/1 with Hills. Young Ranger, Andrew Little is generally available at 8/1.

The least likely Home Nation t win is Wales. Almost out of contention in their group, they entertain Germany. They can be got at 7/1 with Boylesports, and that's not too bad considering how inconsistent Germany can be. More likely is the 10/3 for the draw at Bet365, while a German win is best priced 7/15 at expext

If you do fancy a German win, the 6/5 at PaddyPower for them to be leading at HT and FT is decent value. Wales are 20/1 for the same at sportingbet.

If you do fancy all 4 to win, expext give just under 40/1 for the accumulator.
A short priced accy on Wednesday of Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia, Denmark, Croatia, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, France and Holland pays 4.15/1 at Skybet. All should win comfortably.
